This week I’ve been jamming on body image and self esteem. They really do affect everything in your life, not just your body.

Here’s the main thing you need to know:
Everything is driven by our beliefs
If you don’t like your body–and 91% of women don’t–you need to be honest with yourself about it. When you live in denial, you can’t heal or transform. Honesty breeds acceptance, and from there, you can transcend your pain and transform.
Taken inventory of your beliefs.
What do you believe to be true about your body? Your beliefs create everything in your life. When you believe something is true about yourself, it has ripple effects on your thoughts, feelings, actions, and the results of those actions – or your reality.
If you believe you’re the fat girl, you may not date, go on vacation, apply for a job you really want, etc. because your belief is limiting you. And when you feel sad and unfulfilled, it may lead to actions like binge eating on the regular and never exercising.
Here’s my ninja strategy to shift beliefs: Use an “I am in the process of…” statement.
You can’t just flip a switch and automatically love your body and yourself. But what you can do is set the intention to change your beliefs and let go of the ones that are no longer serving you. When you use an “I am in the process of” statement, it tricks your brain into get used to this shift in beliefs.
So an example of this type of statement would be: “I am in the process of feeling comfortable in my body.”
Really think about the reality you want to create and the beliefs that mirror that reality. From there, it’s only a matter of time until you are living your dream life as your highest, best, and most authentic self.
