You're Not Going To Heal By Holding On

In a world anchored in scarcity and perfectionism it’s easy for us to hold on to the things we know aren’t serving us.
And the more we feel them slipping away, the more inclined we are to grip harder, causing more strain, more pain and more tension.
…if I let go, I’m afraid I won’t get any better
…if I let go, I’ll be left feeling empty, broken and lost
…if I let go, I will gain massive amounts of weight
…if I let go how will I control myself around food?
This thought pattern is destructive and we are forced into a place of learning how to ‘deal’ because we are terrified of the unknown.
Let’s be real, learning to ‘deal’ is a uncomfortable and overwhelming state. It’s a state that has that constant feeling of anxiety or tension throughout the body.
You need to get uncomfortable to truly feel the beauty of comfort, you need to trust in the universe, trust in the process and most importantly, trust in yourself.
In a world so abundant, so accessible and so filled with opportunity we are giving our creator a slap in the face to think achieving more isn’t possible.
When you hold on tightly to a part of your life that isn’t working there is no room to heal.
Surrender and release.
